Method

  1. Cut butter into the dry ingredients until pea-sized pieces remain.
  2. Stir in buttermilk just until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Pat out, fold three times, then cut tall rounds and place close together.
  4. Bake at 450F for fifteen minutes, brush with melted butter, serve hot.
